Westminster Abbey is a famous, historic church in London, This impressive construction was declared ‘World Heritage Site’ by the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization, specialized agency of the United Nations).

The Gothic London Abbey has been renovated and enlarged several times over the years. In 1503 for example Henry VII added a new chapel dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and during the 19^th century Sir George Gilbert Scott was put in charge of a major restoration project (Sir George Gilbert Scott, 1811 – 1878, English architect of the Victorian Age who worked on the design, construction & renovation of cathedrals & churches).
