Views from the London Eye

The London Eye ferris wheel, also known as the "Millenium Wheel" is among London's most popular tourist attractions. Over 30 million people have enjoyed breathtaking views of the UK capital from on high on London's South Bank since it was opened in March 2000. Though plagued by financial difficulties in the early years, today it is very much a part of the world-famous London skyline. On a clear day, you can see right across the London conurbation, and get a true sense of the size of this incredible city. The London Eye is a also a major focal point for New Year celebrations, where Londoners gather to celebrate and sing "Auld lang's Ayne" at midnight.
