Tower Bridge

While visiting London don’t miss the great ‘Tower Bridge Museum’. The exhibition offers you the opportunity of discovering very interesting details about the world-famous London Tower Bridge. It’s housed in the beautiful twin towers of the bridge and shows photographs and films about the construction of this amazing London sight.
In 1974 the original operating mechanism of the bridge was replaced by a modern electro-hydraulic drive system. Some parts of the original machinery can still be seen at the bridge’s museum. You can also see the original steam engines of the bridge, designed by Sir W. G. Armstrong Mitchell & Company of Newcastle upon Tyne, a major British manufacturing company of the beginning of the 20th century.
