Aerial views from St.Paul's cathedral
A Cathedral in London dedicated to Saint Paul has stood on its present site in Ludgate Hill in the City of London since the 7th century AD. The cathedral of the diocese of London, St Paul's attracts millions of visitors every year as well as being a working church with a regular congregation. The famous dome of Saint Paul's is a London landmark and due to its distinguished form has appeared in numerous films and TV programmes. In David Lean's oscar-winning epic "Lawrence of Arabia" it is the venue of Lawrence's funeral, and provided a sense of location in 1994's "The Madness of King George", plus the alien HQ for the invasion of Earth in the kitsch British Sci-Fi show "Doctor Who" (in the episode "Invasion of the Cybermen"). You can also see Christopher Wren's inimitable dome design in the graphics of "Tomb Raider II"...
